OCC ELC accepts both private and state subsidies.

Several state childcare subsidy programs help eligible families pay childcare costs.

• Working Connections Child Care program helps eligible families pay for child care. When a family qualifies for child care subsidy benefits and chooses an eligible provider, the state pays a portion of the cost of child care. Parents may be responsible for a copayment to their provider each month.

• Best Starts for Kids Child Care Subsidy is a King County voter-approved initiative to support children born or raised in King County in reaching adulthood happy, healthy, safe, and thriving.

• BrightSpark assists families experiencing homelessness in King and Pierce counties who would like help navigating and accessing child care and financial assistance. • Other programs offer help for families who are seasonal workers or who qualify through specific Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) programs.
